Fantastic!! Perfect location, perfectly comfortable and a very helpful, friendly host!! Positive: I loved this flat!! When I arrived it was very cosy and welcoming. Everything I needed was there and I took advantage of the well stocked book shelf - 111 places you shouldn’t miss in Edinburgh - and explored the surrounding area. Easy to walk into the city centre or catch a bus but also no need to go far as Stockbridge has lots of little shops and eateries to visit. Negative: I am a short sighted and short person and I had trouble accessing the key box in the dark when I arrived. However I called my host for help and he was fabulous, he talked me through and waited until I was inside the flat. I had no trouble putting the keys back when I checked out in daylight. And to be honest I’ve given my friends and family a good laugh describing the situation. I noted previous reviews regarding noise. The flat is in an old traditional tenement block built before the advent of modern soundproofing, this is why it is so cute and charming. Yes, I could hear the other tenants at times but I expected this to be the case given the type of accomodation I chose. I also noted from a previous review that there were a few maintenance items to be addressed e.g. a broken blind and kitchen kick board. I expect these will be attended to once the holidays are finished. These were very minor things and did not impact my stay in any way.

Positive: Good location, just 15 min away from the old town Negative: The bed was small for a medium size person and the shower was absolutely terrible, no pressure at all and the temperature regulation was really bad. The first night we were not able to get a shower because the temperature change from cold to hot all the time. Then we contacted the owner and they "fixed", but still the pressure was absolutely deficient. Finally, the apartment is in a old building so you definitely can hear what the neirghbours are talking about

Positive: Super clean and comfortable property in a great area. The check in process was really easy and the flat had everything we needed!

Positive: Great location. The kitchen had everything you needed. It was a nice cozy space and in easy walking distance to all around town.

Positive: -The location was the only saving grace of this property. Negative: -The property manager John Logan is extremely rude. Arriving at the property there was no hot water, and John advised I fill the water tank. Thats fine... but this caused water to flood everywhere... his advice: "pop a mop bucket under it". He then advised that he could call someone out which was not possible as it would mean I would have to cancel reservations and be charged for that. I'm here to be on holiday, not maintain his property. Complaining about this, to booking.com, John offered me a partial refund if I promised to leave the property... meaning I would ha ve to last minute book elsewhere which would have been incredibly expensive. John didn't even have the common decency to apologise - and after sending videos and pictures to booking.com, they were apologetic on his behalf and gave me a refund. -The place was filthy, broken kitchen kick-boards, broken window shades scattered on the floor, stained walls, dirty appliances, ill fitting fixings, a broken bin lid, and dirty rat traps strewn about. None of this was included in the pictures on booking.com. Thankfully I took my own photo evidence of all of this upon arrival which I will include in other reviews as well as this one. -The nature of this property means you will hear every voice and footstep of your neighbours - be warned.

Spot on ! Positive: Location and space was ideal for 1 to 2 people- the instructions to get into the property were great and everything was easy to find Negative: A TV would have been nice

Positive: Logement propre et très bien placé. Lit confortable et quartier très calme. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Negative: Logement ancien avec parquet donc nous avons eu des bruits qui venaient du Logement du dessus. Wc très étroit dans un placard.
